Love Beyond Repair

Love Beyond Repair
By
Sannel Larson

How can I mend your broken heart

If my own is bleeding

How can I take away your pain

If my own is to much to bear

How can I wipe away your tears

If my own are never-ending raindrops

How can I erase your bad memories

If my own are etched into my mind

How can I make your hurt feelings go away

If my own are torn

How can I heal your open scars

If my own are carved into my flesh

How can I open your empty eyes

If my own are better left closed

How can I repair your soul

If my own is saddened beyond repair

How can I win your love back

If my own love for you is lost forever

  1. I really like this one, Sannel. Profound questions! I do believe we cannot do one of these things for another person, but our compassion will give them a reason, courage and the strength to do it all by themselves.

  2. Hi Martie! Yes you are so right. A broken heart can be mended only by its owner. However, we can always try to make their road back to happiness less painful by being there for them. There is nothing more we can do. Thank you for your visit my dear friend. Hugs to you!

  3. I've found it very difficult to mend a broken heart when I am not capable of mending my own. To LOVE one must LOVE ONE self and when one has that yanked from them, they wallow in sorrow and never can find LOVE like they once owned. I am sad when I read of broken hearts. It definitely creates many tears to flow. I hope yours dry my friend and you find LOVE again and cherish it as yours. You are deserving of plenty of it. I only wish I could find it to. Hugs from a friend.

  4. Hi, Sannel. I, for one, am glad to see another side of you. To see such emotions and questions expressed and expressed so beautifully and honestly is wonderful! I encourage you to spread your wings and write more than just your erotic poetry. Doing so may well help you understand yourself even better. It did for me! This is simply lovely, Sannel!

  6. Well when I first read this Sannel I thought it was your best written piece to date and you said - sure, sure, you say that to all of the girls - lol lol - but under the circumstances and now that I know 'for certain' the context in which it was written I had to come back, compelled, to read it once more - I almost felt afraid to - knowing of its personal story - well the first thing I did upon opening your blog up was to see your picture and I started crying then I read these most heartfelt words and it moved me so sadly - this is really a very sad read for me - I started to cry again (so much for the pills ) .....please know sincerely that loving you will be the best thing that I ever do - if I have a legacy in this life - this will be it - and these words so beautifully written by you will just be a small bump in the road in the smoothness ahead for you and me - with my respects to you my dear - Colin Scott Stewart aka the epigramman lake erie time 7:54pm

  7. I had to return darling - for I am haunted by these words - I hate more than anything else in this world to see you get hurt or for you to cry - and I know because this is the feeling I had when I read these words once again - I am so sorry you ever had to feel this way in the first place - you have been a miracle in my life since we first met and we are still walking across this 'rainbow' together - oh how I have cherished our precious time together - lake erie time 10:03pm Colin Stewart aka the epigramman

  8. Hi Vincent! Your words speak of pain from someone who has experienced a broken heart himself. I know that you have suffered much heartache in your life, but never ever give up on love again. It will knock on your door when you least expect it. Hugs to you my dear friend!

  13. this brave and courageous piece of writing still puts knots in my anxious stomach when I read it - pure and soulful writing but from a personal standpoint I find it so tough to read but yet I am drawn back to your words of a moment in time and in your life that I hope never ever happens again - I L Y and I A Y - 7 most beautiful words of all time - Colin Stewart aka epigramman June 12 Tuesday 12:33pm
